The Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications
(PIIT) was founded in January 1993 on the basis of the Economic
Chambers Act of May 30th, 1989.
In accordance with this act the chamber "is eligible
to deliver opinions and evaluate implementation and operation
of legal regulations dealing with economic activities"
and "respective governmental institutions and organizations
have the obligation of supplying economic chambers with all
information and data necessary when performing their statutory
activities".
