Adobe LiveCycle Business Activity Monitoring ES2
Monitor, analyze, and tune your LiveCycle applications
Using the AdobeŽ LiveCycleŽ Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) ES2 module, administrators and business managers can quickly identify bottlenecks, check progress, and view summary and detailed process information to provide a 360-degree view of a business transaction.
HOW IT WORKS
Configure BAM to monitor data sources. Using BAM Workbench, create BAM dashboards and define notification rules to trigger exception-handling processes.
Key capabilities
Provide continuous visibility into your critical business applications
The AdobeŽ LiveCycleŽ Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) ES2 dashboard offers continuous visibility for critical and intraday measurements, which are aggregated across multiple systems. Through an intuitive and flexible user interface, the BAM dashboard provides a self-service model, with user-defined thresholds and graphical watch points. Users can drill down to detailed data through filtering, pivot, and simultaneous drill, as well as drill-aware charts and graphs. It also provides dynamic trending, metrics-to-dashboard linkages, and auto-filtering of data and includes a robust graphical object library, including process diagrams, geographic maps, indicators, charts, tables, and other elements. With role-based settings, the BAM dashboard provides operational visibility by job title or function, helping to ensure that users can only drill down into the business data they are authorized to view.
Easily configure data connectivity
System administrators use the BAM Workbench to quickly set up data connectivity to back-end systems by configuring event and contextual data sources and accessing multiple, concurrent data streams. Users can also create business rules and dashboard objects, as well as views and cubes.
Developers can sign up for a trial account and download the SDK for free.
Store and analyze high volumes of data
The BAM server is a highly scalable streaming data store engine. It supports memory-resident data storage and processing, can handle high-transaction throughput and large numbers of dashboard users, and uses event-driven processing, which captures changes to systems (events and data) as they occur.
The BAM server provides real-time event and data integration, aggregating and correlating operational and historical data from multiple data sources. Its rule-based monitoring and reporting capability permits complex rules creation and on-the-fly updates, as well as comprehensive exception reporting.
