Petition and request application

When applications are filled out incompletely or illegibly, rekeying of information into the court systems is slow and inaccurate. Enable citizens and legal representatives to start a petition online through a guided wizard or PDF form. Data collected is associated with a case number that can be referenced in the future to prepopulate other case documents. If a wet signature is required, the petitioner can go into a court service office, submit the case number receipt, and get a prepopulated form that can be printed and signed. Electronic signatures can also be captured using an electronic signature pad. This method ensures greater accuracy and interpretation of the information collected, improved convenience for citizens, and increased efficiency for the court system.
 
Data intake and distribution

Much time and money is wasted in the overall management of case documents. Using electronic options such as e-mail, a web portal, or LiveCycle Workspace, the clerk's office can quickly distribute the latest case documents to all parties involved as more secure and certified PDF files. Data electronically collected can be used to automatically prepopulate other documents and forms needed by the various parties.
 
Courtroom operations

In courtrooms with high volume, it is difficult for different parties (some remote) to ensure that information is consistent and coordinated when queuing up cases, discussing cases, and making decisions. Judges, court clerks, courtroom staff, and correction facility staff can use web conferencing to see the same information at the same time to make a coordinated decision or to streamline operations.

Enable court clerks, support staff, and judges to review case documents and automatically route them through a predefined process. Help ensure accountability and transparency of the process with electronic signatures, digital signatures, and process tracking. Use a dashboard that aggregates and organizes a defendant's case history, enabling judges to quickly review details within the context of the current case decision.

To help ensure accountability and compliance, you should not only archive all the documents but also keep records of the entire process and who was involved in the court case. Use industry-standard PDF/A format for maximum searchability of case documents.
